Tawa Chicken is popular from Pakistani Cuisine. Cuisine from the eastern provinces of Punjab and Sindh are characterized as “highly seasoned” and “spicy”. Tawa Chicken is the most famous dish in BBQ parties. Specialty of the Dish is to Cook in Tawa. But in my way to make “Tawa Chicken” you’ll feel it juicy enough as I add a lot of spice and yogurt on it when it’s on the Tawa. And I am pretty sure about for everyone, it can beat a 5 star dish anytime.

INGREDIENTS that you need to make this delicious “Tawa Chicken” is:
For Chicken:
- Chicken Boneless Whole *See my above Explanation tag for more clarity.
- Red Chili Flakes 1 tsp
- Red Chili Powder ½ tsp
- Cumin Seeds Powder 1 tbsp
- Mustard Paste 1 tbsp
- Salt ½ tsp or as desired
- White Pepper Ground 1 tsp
- Black Pepper Crushed 1 tsp
- Ginger Paste 1 tsp
- Garlic Paste 1 tsp
- Yogurt 2 tbsp (Whipped)
- Worcestershire Sauce 2 tbsp
- Oil to Marinate 5 tbsp
For Cooking or Assembling Tawa Chicken:
- Tawa pan
- Onion 2 medium sized (Chopped)
- Yogurt 200 gms
- Mustard Seeds 3 tbsp
- Oil ¼ cup
Directions:
Take a mixing bowl.
Add Red Chili Flakes, Red Chili Powder, Cumin Seeds Powder, Mustard Paste, White and Black Pepper (ground), Ginger Paste, Garlic Paste, Worcestershire Sauce, Whipped Yogurt, Oil and Salt. Mix all these ingredients well.
Now add Chicken into this mixture and give it a good mix using spatula.
Now Cover and marinate it for 3-4 hours at least. Keep it in a fridge.
Take a frying pan and add the Marinated Chicken into it.
Cover and cook for 2 minutes on a medium flame.
Now uncover the pan and cook it on a high flame for 2-3 minutes until all the water dries.
Keep it on a side.
Now take onions and chopped it well and set it on a side too.

Now take a bowl to whip yogurt easily. Pour yogurt into it. Add Mustard Seeds and mix it well. Set it on a side too.

Now heat Tawa and add oil into it. Add Onion Chopped and fry for 2 minutes on a low to medium flame.

Now add Chicken and mix it well and cook for more 2-3 minutes.

Add Yogurt mixture into it and cook it for few more minutes until the yogurt water dries.

At the end, add Green Chilies and Coriander Leaves.

A delightful “Tawa Chicken” is ready to dish out!
Serve it immediately with a Naan or Garlic Rice (or with your choice of sides, *see above suggestions).
