I can beat with my recipes all the times. And, this time I am giving the great and the perfect recipe for “Garlic Rice” for you guys.
With a meat, seafood, or other protein dish on the side, it was a nice home cooked meal that kept me healthy, and kept me going on those long study nights. I most of the times cook Garlic Rice for my family and they love it as much as I do.
In many general variations of fried rice have their own specific list of ingredients. And, I think for the perfect flavor of each Chinese dish. You have to add proper ingredients with proper steps. There is a myth, mostly people are used to say like “hath hath ka farq hota hy” or “there is no difference to make a recipe with same ingredients and same steps”. Its’ totally a myth and nothing else. Steps always static. In fact, proper ingredients and steps are always static.
Interesting fact is Sinangág, also called “Garlic Fried Rice” or “Garlic Rice”.

To make Garlic Rice, INGREDIENTS that you need is:
- Parboiled Rice 1 cup (uncooked)
- Garlic Cloves 3-4 (Chopped)
- Green Onion ½ cup (Freshly Chopped)
- Green Chilies Chopped 4 slit
- Parsley Stalks 3
- Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
- Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
- Black Pepper Freshly Crushed 1 tbsp
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Melted Ghee 4 tbsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
Gather all the ingredients first.
Soak rice for 2 hrs. at least.
Note: If you’re using Basmati rice or any other kind of soak rice and use them accordingly. You can find my tips and tricks in my other rice recipes. So, you can take help from them.
In the meanwhile, take a sauce pan add Ghee and heat it. Now add minced Garlic into it. Saute it for few seconds and add soaked rice into it.
Now, add the Parboiled Rice (soaked) and salt. Mix gently. Add water 1 and ¾ cup exact water (means 1 cup and ¾ cup) but not exactly 2 cups of water.
When its’ water dries then add Soy sauce, Freshly crushed Black Pepper. Cover and steam cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes.
In the meanwhile, remove the parsley leaves from the stems and minced them.
Before dish it out, add minced Parsley, Green Chilies chopped, Sesame Seeds, and Green Onion. Mix Gently.
