To make Traditional Dessert i.e. Gajreela.

Traditional Dessert

Ingredients that you need for Traditional Dessert i.e. Gajreela is:

  • Milk 1 ½ litres
  • Carrots 300grms (Grated)
  • Cooked Rice ½ cup
  • Sugar 6 tbs
  • Cardamom Powder ½ tea spoon
  • Coconut Powder 4tbs
  • Almonds (Blanched & Chopped) 3tbs
  • Pistachio Chopped 3tbs
  • Fresh Cream ½ cup
  • Raisins 2tbs

Directions:

Peel and grate the carrots.

In a pot, heat milk, add cardamom powder, rice (boiled), sugar and carrots.

Mix well and cook on low flame for 40-45 minutes and keep stirring in between.

Cook until milk is reduced and thickened.

Add Fresh Milk and give a nice stir.

Add Pistachio, Raisins, half of Coconut Powder and Almonds. Give it a good mix.

Now sprinkle Coconut Powder and its ready to serve !
