Ingredients that you need for Carrot Cake is:
- All-purpose Flour 2 cups
- Cinnamon powder 1 tea spoon
- Salt 1/2 tea spoon
- Baking Powder 2 tea spoon
- Ghee 1 cup
- Sugar 3/4 cup
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Eggs 2
- Vanilla Essence 1 tea spoon
- Shredded Carrots 2 cups
- Walnuts chopped 1/2 cup
In a bowl, first add All-Purpose Flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Cinnamon Powder. Mix all these ingredients then sift all these dry ingredients twice. Set aside.
Now take another bowl, add Eggs and beat well.
Now add Vanilla Essence and Sugar into eggs and beat it again.
Now add gradually dry flour mixture into the eggs batter plus the carrots , melted Ghee and milk. Mix it well with the help of spatula until well combined.
Add walnuts and fold gently with the help of the spatula.
*Walnuts is only the option. You can skip this step if you don’t like to add.
Now, grease 8” inch baking pan with melted Ghee or melted butter. Place a butter paper and pour cake batter in prepared baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 40-50 minutes or until the cake pulls away from the side of the pans and a toothpick inserted in the center of the cakes comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven and run a knife around the edges to loosen it from the sides of the pan.
Transfer the cake to the platter and let it cool.
Your carrot cake is ready to serve. Happy Baking 🙂
Note: No need to worry if you don’t have an oven. You can prepare this cake with using a preheated pressure cooker as well. You need to heat your pressure cooker and place your baking pan into it and bake it for 35 to 40 mins in a slow flame. You can check it after 35 or 40 minutes with a toothpick inserted in the center or sides of the cake. If it comes out clean then your cake is ready to serve.Happy Baking 🙂
