Ingredients that you need is:
- Green Capsicum 8, if medium sized then 10 (Stripe cutting)
- Green Chilies 8 to 10 slit
- Basmati Rice ½ kg or 2.25 cups
- Cumin Seeds 1tsp
- Raw Garlic 5-6 (Chopped)
- Malmal Cloth
- Coriander Seeds 1tsp
- Fennel Seeds 1tsp
- Ghee ½ cup
- Onion 2 medium sized (finely sliced)
- Salt 1 tea spoon or as desired
Soak rice for 15 to 20 minutes at least. If you are taking other kind of rice then soak them accordingly.
Then make a potli bag of Fennel and Coriander Seeds using Malmal Cloth.
In the meanwhile, take a sauce pan. First add Ghee and heat it.
Then add Potli bag and onion sliced and fry them like its’ color changes into light brown.
Now add Green Chilies and fry it for a half minute or 45 seconds even and until you can smell its’ aroma.
Add Cumin Seeds, and Garlic chopped. Cook it for a minute or 2 you can smell its’ aroma.
Add Capsicum and Salt, mix again.
Add the Basmati Rice (soaked) and mix gently. Add water 3 and ¾ cup exact (means 3 cup and ¾ cup) but not exactly 4 cups of water.
When its’ water dry then Cover and steam cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes.
Your simple Capsicum Pulao is ready to dish out!
Garnish with Coriander leaves and Some Capsicum (stripe cutting).
